May 11 Note

  • May 11th Note
Great job to all who participated in the musical last Friday!

    Calendar Notes
  • While we try to keep our school open to prospective parents all year long, Thursdays in May have been set aside as special “Open House” days. If there is someone who is looking for more information on our school, invite them to stop by and meet with Mr. Luehring.
  • Tuesday, grades 7 & 8 will help run the track meet for grades 1-3 at Cahalan Park. We will eat an early lunch before leaving school at 11:45. We will return around 2:00. Hot lunch service will still be available for students. Students should remember to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and appropriate clothing for the weather.
  • This Friday is a noon dismissal due to Teacher’s Collaboration. Hot lunch will not be served on this day, but homeroom services will be available.
  • Confirmation is Sunday, May 17th.
  • Students will be participating and singing in the Ascension service on May 21st.

    Classroom Notes
  • The spelling list for the week is Unit 32. The song for Friday is “Jerusalem the Golden.”
  • Students will wrap up Paul’s 1st missionary journey this week in Christ Light.
  • Next week the school will begin mass practices for the Ascension service.
  • The “Stock Market Game” ends next week Friday, the 22nd for those students in Economics.
  • Thank you for your timely return of your child’s progress report for the 4th Quarter. If you have not returned it already, please do so. Thank you.
  • Thank you for all of the gifts and thoughts last week during Teacher Appreciation Week! It is really appreciated.
  • Thank you to Vivian for looking into I Fly for the graduation party. It definitely looks like a fun and unique place to have a party.
  • The countdown has begun! Last week students created a chain for the number of days left in school. Each student wrote favorite memories or things they would miss about Apostles on all of the links. Before we dismiss each day we will make the chain one link shorter and take a trip down memory lane.

    God’s blessings,
    Mr. Fillner
