  October 13th Note
  This week the students will be finishing up looking at how we can get along better with people of other cultures. We will continue with how we can model Christ’s love with those who have different gifts than us.
  
  Calendar Notes
• This Wednesday, October 15th the Wildlife Assembly will present at 9:30 at school.
• This Friday, October 17th there is a noon dismissal due to teachers’ collaboration. Homeroom services will be available. There will be no hot lunch on collaboration days.
• Next Friday, October 24th marks the end of the 1st Quarter. Report cards will be sent home at this time.
• Friday, October 24th is also the fall musical at 7:00pm.
• Picture retakes will be Monday, October 27th. Please do not open or especially cut apart your child’s pictures if you are planning on having them retaken.
  
  Classroom Notes
• The hymn for this week is 336 st. 1-4. The spelling list is Unit 7.
• Thank you to those students who volunteered for the special Reformation Choir. The area Reformation service will be at Apostles on Sunday, October 26th at 4:00pm. The volunteer choir will begin practicing this week.
• Thank you to all those who helped out at last Friday’s Harvest Festival.
• Football plays at Valley Monday at 3:45 and practices Tuesday and Thursday.
• Volleyball is at the C Team’s home game Monday, practices Wednesday, and plays at Valley on Thursday at 4:45 in the small gym.
• Thank you for taking time out of your schedules to meet last week. I hope that it was beneficial to you. Please feel free to contact me about any questions or concerns that might have slipped your mind during our meeting.
• Intramural badminton ended last week. Intramural bocce ball will be starting soon.
  
  Help Support Apostles
• This Thursday, October 16th, there will be our first ever “Fun-Raiser” at Sweet Tomatoes on Bernal Ave. Fliers will be handed out today describing the new event. If Sweet Tomatoes is not your favorite, we will be doing a similar event at Chevy’s in Almaden Plaza on Nov. 20th. Hope to see you there!
