Jan. 7-11 Note

• Welcome to a new year! May it be filled with God’s blessings to you and your loved ones. Yesterday we celebrated our Lord’s revealing to the Wise Men. We can also celebrate him being revealed to us in his Word everyday.
  
  Calendar Notes
• Grades 6-8 sing in the 8:45 service this Sunday, Jan. 13th.
• This Friday is a Teacher Collaboration Day. We will dismiss at noon. Homeroom services are available.
• Girl’s A basketball practices Tuesday and Thursday. We play Valley Christian on Wed. at 3:30.
• Guy’s A basketball practices Monday and Tuesday. Guy’s A plays Valley Christian on Wed. at 4:40.
• Next week Friday, the 18th marks the end of the 2nd Quarter. Report cards will be sent home at this time.
• There will be no school on Monday, Jan. 21st.
• The Social Studies Fair will be held on Friday, Jan. 25th from 6-8 p.m. Projects should be brought into school on Tuesday, Jan. 22nd.
  
  Classroom Notes
• Our spelling list for this week is Unit 16. Our hymn is the song we will be singing in church this Sunday, “Arise, Shine.”
• If you have any box tops lying around, they can be brought in anytime. From the sounds of it, the majority of the students are waiting to turn in theirs in order to win the class competition with the prize of designing their own school t-shirts. The deadline for that class competition is Jan. 25th.
• This week we will be introducing soccer in pe and working on the according skills.
