Jan. 28th Note

  • Jan. 28th Note

God’s Word is Needed by All
Last Sunday, Pastor Bork reminded us of just how many people need to hear God’s saving message. God can use us to deliver that great news. No matter how difficult the task may be or overwhelming it may seem, he will help us spread the Gospel. We will be discussing how we are personally able to do that great privilege this week.

    Calendar Notes
  • We will dismiss at noon this Friday for Teacher’s Collaboration. Homeroom services will be available.
  • Girls’ A basketball will practice Monday, play at Hillbrook on Tuesday at 3:40, and play at Harker’s Blackford Campus on Thursday at 3:45.
  • Grades 6-8 are singing in the 7:00 Ash Wednesday service. They will be singing, “Behold the Lamb of God.”
  • There will be no school Feb. 18th – 22nd due to President’s Day and the Northern California/Nevada Teachers’ Conference.

    Classroom Notes
  • Our spelling list is Unit 19 this week. Our hymn is “Behold the Lamb of God.”
  • Great job to all the students in this year’s Social Studies Fair. There were many positive comments on the exceptional work done by all.
  • Please take some time to look over your child’s report card this week. After discussing it with him/her, please sign and return it by this Friday.
  • Congratulations on the last Box Tops competition! 8th grade was the class that collected the most. As the winners of this competition, the students will be able to design an Apostles t-shirt. More information will be coming on how this will proceed.
  • If you would like more information on Apostles clothing or how you can help support Apostles, visit our school’ website at http://www.apostlessj.org/web/home.html.

    God’s blessings on your week,
    Mr. Fillner
